You don’t have to be poor or destitute to seek protections from persecution. Your human capital is valuable, so learn about alternative opportunities that are available to you. Remove the negative connotation of “refugee” and “asylum” and see yourself as beginning a new life. Rich and poor, all walks of life sometimes find themselves having to flee persecution.
